SUNDAY PAMPER: WHEN SKINCARE FACE MASKS

In my opinion, Sundays are for pampering – after a busy weekend, and right before work starts, nothing beats a hot bubble bath, beautiful skincare and some much-needed me time. I was recently sent some sheet masks from Korean skincare brand When, and I thought today would be the perfect time to trial them! I received five different varieties, and so there is something to suit everyone. 

When – Makeup Base

For the moment When you need a fabulous base for a flawless face! This face mask is the perfect choice for when your skin needs to look its best, and I have always stood by the fact that if you don’t take care of your skin, your makeup won’t look at its prime. This is a bio-cellulose sheet mask made from coconuts and the superfine 3D fibres allow superior adhesion to the face enabling even distribution and effective delivery of an intensely hydrating yet lightweight serum. 

It includes Adenosine to improve the skin’s elasticity, Collagen and Peptides to ward off wrinkles and promote smoother, firmer skin, and Hyaluronic Acid and Ginseng Extracts to aid hydration and keep skin looking and feeling healthy. To use, you simple place the mask on clean and dry skin, leaving for 30 minutes, with no need to rinse away, you’ll have perfect radiant skin in no time.

When – Travelmate

For the moment When travel is taking a toll on your skin, whether it be commuting or travelling abroad, this helps freshen up tired skin. This bio-cellulose sheet mask is again made from coconuts and has the 3D fibres as with the Makeup Base mask. It contains Hyaluronic Acid and Ginseng Extracts to aid hydration and keep skin looking and feeling healthy, Saccharide Isomerate to help skin hold on to moisture, Swiss Alpine Herb Extracts to gently hydrate the skin and chamomile to restore and nourish the skin damaged by UV rays, wind and dry cabin air. 

As the masks are in singular sachets, and lightweight, they are perfect for taking away with you. I often take a sheet mask on aeroplane journeys as it makes my skin much more rejuvenated and refreshed after 10 hours of flying, and as there is no need to wash off, there is much less mess than with a regular face mask.

When – 10.00 PM

For the moment When your skin needs to travel back in time… Safe in the comfort of your bed, and away from the sun, pollution and harsh temperatures, night time is the perfect time for skincare to work at its best. Your skin rejuvenates itself between 10pm and 2am, so using this kind of face mask, or a specialised serum on the skin can greatly improve it. 

This bio-cellulose sheet mask contains Collagen to help ward off fine lines and wrinkles, Watermelon Extract to promote skin regeneration, and Hyaluronic Acid and Ginseng Extracts to aid hydration and keep skin looking and feeling healthy. When – Snow Magic

For the moment When you want to add radiance to dull, lacklustre skin, this is the perfect pick me up! The targeted formula of the Snow Magic bio-cellulose sheet mask gives instantly brighter skin in just 30 minutes and adds a beautiful glow into the skin to prevent it from feeling dull and lifeless, and I think this would definitely be a winner in the colder, Winter months, although with the June weather we are currently having, it may be needed much sooner! 

The Snow Magic formula includes Hyaluronic Acid and Ginseng Extracts to aid hydration and keep the skin looking and feeling healthy, Niacinamide to stop hyper pigmentation, brighten skin and help it retain its moisture, and Moisturising Aloe Vera for brighter, glowing skin.
